On Every Street  Loved it. A deep passionate first love built on a foundation of lies and deceipt. Does it get any better? 5/5

On Every Street (The Artists Trilogy, #0.5)On Every Street by Karina Halle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So I read this first, before Sins & Needles. I had read that it could change my perception of Sins & Needles and time will tell if that was true but I loved this novella. I got a real feeling for who Ellie/Eden was and how consumed she was with revenge. Javier immediately came across as smooth, debonair, but also, someone who knew what he wanted and woudl go after it, which is what he did. The climax before the ending confused me but I'm hoping answers will come in Sins & Needles which I'm reading now.

Conspiring  This book turned me from hate to saddness for Veronica & Ian, the secondary characters from Broken & Mending. 4/5

Goodreads Review

Conspiring (This #2.5)Conspiring by J.B. McGee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sent as an ARC for an honest review by the author. I loved Broken & Mending and couldn't wait fo this novella because I wanted to know more about Ian and Veronica and how they came to be together. I wanted to know how on earth they met and worked out the Bradley/Gaby connection. And this book did not disappoint, once I started and got past my inate hate for Veronica, which was no small feat mind you, I couldn't put the book down.

Mending made me hate Veronica, pinning the pregnancy on Bradley when she knew it was not his was low, and not something I would ever respect in a character or a person in real life, but somehow, the author made me see past that. Don't get me wrong, I still don't like her, but I have somehow softened my view towards her. She was still in love with Bradley and wanted the life she knew he could provide for her child, she never expected him to do a complete 180 and commit to someone else after telling her he never wanted to commit to anyone.

Ian met Veronica, was hot, sweet and caring, and fell in love with her. After a freak out when she told him she was pregnant with his child, he tried to get her back.

Can't wait until the next installment in the series, Forgiven, which will end Bradley and Gaby's story then Falling, the conclusion of Veronica and Ian's story.

10 Nights (Forbidden Desires, #1)10 Nights by Michelle Hughes
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I'm still a bit torn by this book. It confused me, made me gasp in shock at least twice at the liberties Rhett felt he could take, and the sheer stubborness of Leah not to give in and to see out the 10 nights. It is well written but the storyline seems rather unbeleiveable to me, which is why it only got 3 stars.

The Fetish Box, Part One: Open All Night (The Fetish Box, #1)The Fetish Box, Part One: Open All Night by Nicole Camden
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book took me awhile to get in to and just as I was hooked, it stopped.

Really different storyline, I mean, a virgin inheriting a sex shop and a house from her mother than she hasn't seen or heard from since she was a baby and by inheriting the sex shop, she seems to have inherited her mother's two friends, Max and John, each of whom attract Mary in different ways both both immediately.

This installment is all about setting up the storyline and the scene, will read the next book, even if its just to see what the first book was setting up.

Note - the way Max talks takes some getting used to.

Goodreads Review

There is No Light in Darkness (Darkness, #1)There is No Light in Darkness by Claire Contreras
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was intrigued by the blurb of this book and jumped at the chance to read it. Straight away I loved how strong Blake was. She is plagued by nightmares of her childhood but she doesn't know what they mean. I loved that she has such a strong family network from her foster family and that she has a soul mate in Cole. Cole won me over straight away. His cockiness and sex appeal oozed off the page and his love for Blake was obvious from the moment we met him. This story is very complicated and you do have to concentrate to follow along the tidbits of information that are told throughout the story, in both the present and the past. I'm looking forward to the second book to see if my predictions for the story are correct or not. Great debut novel from the author.

Beneath This Man (This Man, #2)Beneath This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OH MY GOD! Jesse Ward, Lord of the Sex Manor, I bow down to you.

This book was amazing, it exceeded all of my expectations. Ava & Jesse cannot deny how they feel about eachother and knowing that they are ruined for anyone else, they can't help but fight for and with each other.

There are some soon to be famous sex scenes, a Manor Anniversary Party that is as much awkward as it is hot and steamy, and the ever present John always there to watch out for both Ava and Jesse.

Handcuffs, rowing machines, peanut butter and lace are all now my favourite things to remember this book by.

Can't wait for This Man Confessed, the conclusion of Ava and Jesse's story, hoping for answers to all of the unanswered questions and suspicions.
